1CAUTIONNov 07, 2011

If you have a stereo with a 6 cd changer built into it, this device WILL NOT WORK. even though my car is the correct model year and has the right outlet in the back, it doesnt work. The paper insert actually confirms this although it said nothing about it on the profile.

5Works great and sounds even betterAug 08, 2009

I bought the CHRY02-AUX for my 2004 Dodge Ram truck to improve the sound of my Sirius radio. You need to remove the radio to install but that isn't hard job. I was able to put the device to the left of the radio behind a panel. To use you Sirius or IPOD with this device just push the mode button on the radio and bingo it works! This device doesn't interfere with normal use of the radio's CD player. I've had Sirius in my truck over 3 years using different ways to interface it to my stock radio and this by far works best. I've use the inline antenna connector which made my Sirius sound great but killed normal radio reception. I tried using the FM broadcast mode of the Sirius but that had too much static. I almost bought a new radio to solve my problems until I discovered this device.

5Simple and it works!Dec 11, 2008

This item arrived quickly and was easy to setup. Instead of removing the dash and pulling the radio, I was able to take off my glovebox and plug this into the back of my factory radio in a 2004 Jeep Wrangler. No bells and whistles, just plugged connected my Zune via a headphone to rca into the device rca jacks and it works great. Clear sound, no whine like some of the fm modulators make. No controls from the factory radio, you need to control from your mp3 player. Time to make some playlists.

2five stars for device but minus 3 for a deceptive pictureJan 10, 2012

Short version, buy it, it's the best thing you're going to find to get a phone or MP3 player into your factory head unit. Works perfectly on 04 WJ. Great bass response, sounds nice. Slight repetitive whispering noise that you don't really notice once you've got something playing over it.

Long version:

The device I got has a 3.5 mm unbalanced audio jack, NOT balanced RCA inputs. It's not worth returning it but it is deceptive. I would have given five stars if the device had been as pictured.

In fairness, the seller did include a 3.5mm to dual-rca converter, and I'm sure that for most people that wouldn't be a problem. Maybe with the internal configuration of the device, the grounds are bridged anyway and it wouldn't matter. But all things being equal, I would have preferred to get the DEVICE IN THE PICTURE. The instructions that come with the device also show RCA jacks, but with a sticker stuck over the picture that says 'device may not be as pictured' or something like that.

Anyway, the actual device:

Installation: The space in the dash behind the radio is VERY tight and the cable that comes with the device is VERY short. I used double-sided tape to cram it into a pocket on the right side of the radio. It fits, barely.

Device Quality: I am less than impressed with the build quality. It feels very cheap. It is hard to get a good connection on the microjack input. I feel like, if I were to use the jack on the device, it would break after about 10 uses. Obviously this is going in behind the dash and I am extending the jack with a cable, so no issues there.

Sound Quality: Good but not perfect. There is a very slight repetitive whisper in the audio stream, but it is very quiet and does not amplify along with the music, so I'm assuming it's some sort of grounding issue. Not really noticeable when anything is playing. Overall, I'd say this provides the best input quality that you're going to get out of your factory head unit. Far superior to either a tape adapter or an FM transmitter. Steering wheel controls for volume work properly.

I hooked this product up to my 2004 Jeep Liberty and on the first use, it did not work properly. Sound only came out of the passenger side speakers. Volume was very low, and when adjusted on my iPod a crackling and popping noise came from the driver side speakers. I will be returning it.

Edit: I spoke with Paul, and was very impressed with the customer service. I left a message in the morning and he called back the same day. I am still miffed that the piece doesn't work, but I upgraded the review to 3 stars simply because of the quick and understanding customer service.
